Integrations · Wix
BlogPost publishes to your Wix site’s blog through the Wix API, with the site ID, the member ID and an API key. Here is where to find each one, what arrives with each post and what doesn’t yet.
- Sign-up tests the connection with a draft and deletes it right away
- Subheadings, lists, links and images converted for Wix
- The post goes in published or as a draft, your choice

What it needs
- A Wix site with Wix Blog: that’s where the posts go.
- An API key created in the Wix dashboard, with permission for the Blog.
- The site ID and the member ID of the account that publishes. Both are required to connect.
Step by step
Create the API key
At manage.wix.com, open the right site and create an API key with permission for the Blog. Copy the key.
Find the two IDs
The site ID is the long code in the editor’s address or in the site details. The member ID belongs to the member account the API uses.
Connect at sign-up
At BlogPost sign-up, paste the site ID, the member ID and the API key. The test creates a draft on your Wix site and deletes it right away.
Approve and publish
Every account starts with approval on: each article waits in the Approval tab. Once approved, it goes to the Wix blog published, or as a draft so you can check it in the Wix editor.
What arrives
Title and excerpt
The article’s title and excerpt.
The text in Wix’s format
The article’s HTML is converted to the Wix editor’s format: subheadings, paragraphs, lists, links and images.
The cover
The article’s cover image goes along with the post.
Published or draft
The post goes live or stays as a draft on Wix, depending on what you choose in the dashboard.
Limits
- Bold, italics and tables aren’t converted to Wix’s format yet. If the article has them, receive it as a draft and check it in the Wix editor before publishing.
- The article’s tags don’t go to Wix.
- Each subscription publishes to 1 site. Another Wix site needs another subscription.

It’s the ID of the site’s member account that the API uses to publish. It’s required to connect, along with the site ID and the API key.
No. On Wix, subheadings, paragraphs, lists, links and images arrive; bold, italics and tables aren’t converted yet. To check it before it goes live, receive it as a draft.
Yes. In the dashboard, in the Autopost tab, under External publishing, choose Draft: the approved post reaches Wix unpublished, and you publish it from the Wix editor.
